The Problem

Broken Sprinkler Heads Cost You Hundreds Every Year

The mower clips it. The trimmer snaps it. The grass buries it. Then you’re paying $150 for a service call to fix a $5 part.

Mower & Trimmer Damage

One pass too close and that’s a cracked head and water spraying everywhere.

Grass Overgrowth

Grass creeps over the head, blocks the spray, and you can’t even find it anymore.

Sinking & Misalignment

Heads sink into the ground and water your sidewalk instead of your lawn.

Mower & Trimmer Damage

One pass too close and that’s a cracked head and water spraying everywhere.

The Solution

Three Steps. One Yard. Done.

Clear, slide, finish. Most homeowners knock out the whole yard in an afternoon.

Clear the grass

Clear the grass 8 to 10 inches around your sprinkler head to make room for the guard.

Slide the Sprinkler-Guard in

Insert the guard alongside the head and press the disc flush with the ground. It should sit slightly above the sprinkler head.

Done. You're protected.

Pack the soil and you're set. For a polished finish, top it off with a little fish gravel around the sprinkler head.

Our Story

Built by a Veteran Who Was Tired of the Same Problem

Ken Kwiatkowski didn’t start out building sprinkler protectors. He spent his career as a financial executive, starting in Big 5 public accounting and going on to CFO roles across very different industries, from an air-conditioning company to the Sarasota Opera. At 59, he founded Sprinkler-Guard after years of replacing broken sprinkler heads on his own lawn.

Ken is a U.S. Navy veteran who served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and is service-connected. He runs Sprinkler-Guard out of Bradenton, Florida, where every unit is manufactured. He built the company on the same standards that defined his finance career: accountability, quality, and doing the work right the first time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sprinkler-Guard?

Sprinkler-Guard is a patented sprinkler head protector made from flexible Advance ABS with UV deterrent. It sits around your sprinkler head to protect it from mower and trimmer damage, prevent grass overgrowth, and keep your heads aligned and visible.

How long does it take to install?

About 30 seconds per head once you’ve cleared the grass. Clear about 8 to 10 inches around your sprinkler head, slide the Sprinkler-Guard in alongside it, and pack the soil around it. Most homeowners knock out a 20-pack in an afternoon.

Will it fit my sprinkler heads?

Sprinkler-Guard fits any sprinkler head up to 3 inches. It’s also easy to cut to fit tight spots, like up against a sidewalk, driveway, or fence line.

How is this different from concrete donuts?

Concrete donuts crack and sink the moment they actually have to protect something. After one mowing season they look terrible and stop working. Sprinkler-Guard is different. Flexible Advance ABS with UV deterrent absorbs the impact instead of crumbling like concrete does. It keeps your heads aligned, inhibits grass and weeds from growing over them, and it’s easy to cut to customize for any spot in your yard. And if a guard ever takes too much abuse, swap it out and keep the rest of your system running. Concrete can’t do that either.

How many do I need?

The average yard has 15 to 25 sprinkler heads. Count your heads and pick the pack that covers your yard. Most homeowners go with the 20-pack.

Does it affect sprinkler performance?

Not at all. Sprinkler-Guard is designed to let your heads pop up and spray normally. It actually helps performance by keeping heads clear and properly aligned.
